2024 - 2025

Please note: All students begin the quarter with an “S” in citizenship and must show the
characteristics of an “E” to earn that mark on their report card. The marking period begins anew
at the start of each quarter and characteristics are specific to behavior within the class.

A student with EXCELLENT (E) citizenship meets all of the standards of satisfactory citizenship
(see below) and:


● works independently
● is a positive role model
● helps others
● proactively respects school environment
● solves problems
● always follows class rules
● actively participates


A student with SATISFACTORY (S) citizenship:
● respects others
● has a positive attitude
● pays attention
● is cooperative
● is on time
● regularly follows class rules


A student with NEEDS TO IMPROVE (N) citizenship will display one or more of the following:
● talks excessively
● is disrespectful to others
● is uncooperative
● uses inappropriate language
● has a poor attitude
● displays disruptive behavior
● has 4-5 tardies to class + contact parent
● is off task
● receives discipline referrals
● has 3 non-participation days in PE without doctor’s note
● cheating or plagiarizing


A student with UNSATISFACTORY (U) citizenship will display one or more of the following:·
● is defiant to teacher
● intimidates others
● has not improved behavior
● 6-7 tardies to class + contact parent
● is frequently truant
● is consistently disruptive
● fails to follow class rules
● has 4 or more non-participation days in PE without doctor’s note
● cheating or plagiarizing, second offense within current school year
